Main ContentBachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences - Traditional Program Cost to Attend
UMMC's Office of Student Accounting maintains tuition and fees, including information about SHRP undergraduate programs such as the entry-level professional Radiologic Sciences program. Students should review the tuition tables on the Student Accounting website for additional information regarding tuition, fees, and related expenses.
As stated in the UMMC Bulletin, the Medical Center reserves the right to increase or modify tuition and fees without prior notice, subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.
Books/electronic device
Books are electronic format. Students are required to have a computer/device to access books and perform additional tasks.
To ensure that you have a computer/device that meets minimum standards to function with UMMC platforms, it must at least function at the following levels:
- Latest version of Windows 10 or newer OR Macintosh: OS X Catalina (10.15) or newer;
- Must be patched by operating system company regularly;
- Modern browser such as the latest Chrome or Internet Explorer/Edge; and
- Must run a modern and updated anti-virus solution.
We do not recommend any thin client devices such as Chromebooks or Google books.
Note for traditional program students: You will use your device to perform the following tasks:
- Type papers, etc.
- Download PowerPoint presentations
- Downloaded worksheets, etc.
- Upload assignments in PDF format
Travel to off-campus clinical rotations (for traditional program)
Students are required to travel to off-campus clinical rotations. Therefore, students should be prepared to provide their own transportation and other incidental expenses during these clinical affiliations.
Withdrawal/tuition refunds
The Radiologic Sciences curriculum is designed to be sequential (i.e., all courses for each semester are prerequisites for courses in subsequent semesters). Students are not allowed to withdraw from a single class without withdrawing from the entire program. When a student becomes interested in withdrawing from the program, students should refer to UMMC PolicyTech, specifically referencing the Course Withdrawal Policy for the School of Health Related Professions and the Program Withdrawal Policy for the School of Health Related Professions. Additionally, withdrawal dates are highlighted on the academic calendar provided on the School of Health Related Professions webpage.
Financial aid information
Workforce Enhancement Scholarships are available for Radiologic Sciences students once students are in their 3rd semester of the program.
